NJ House Movers Pricing

One of the most common questions we are asked is concerning the prices of our moving services. Unfortunately, it is not really possible to give an accurate quote for a specific move without actually talking to the potential client. We can, however, provide you with our pricing guidelines and other information to help give you an idea of how much your move will cost. Price Per Hour Per Man

Our main charges come from the hourly rate charged per mover who works on your job. This price per hour is broken up into three categories, which are regular hours, overtime hours, and Sunday/Holiday hours. We charge a minimum of three hours for the regular and overtime rates, and a minimum of five hours for the Sunday/holiday rate. The hourly rates are:

• Regular Hours (Monday – Saturday, 8AM-7PM) - $30 per hour
• Overtime Hours (Monday – Saturday, 7PM-8AM) - $40 per hour
• Sunday & Holiday Hours - $50 per hour

Price for Miles Driven

We charge for all miles driven based on the hourly rate listed above. This can be calculated as follows:

• 3-10 Miles is charged at .5 hours.
• 11-20 miles is charged at 1 hour.
• 21-30 miles is charged at 1.5 hours.
• 31-50 miles is charged at 2.5 hours.

If your move requires more than 100 miles of driving, the rate is .5 hours for every 20 miles of driving.

Payment Options

We accept cash, money orders, certified checks, and credit cards. If you choose to pay with an American Express or Discover card, there is a 5% service fee. If you choose to pay with a Visa or MasterCard, there is a 2% service fee.

20% Deposit Required

We require a 20% deposit for all moves to book our movers. This amount is calculated off of the official estimate that one of our professional movers will provide. Once the move has been completed, the 20% deposit will be applied to your total bill.

7 Days Notice required for Refunds

Due to the fact that your deposit is securing our movers for a specific date and time that we may not be able to re-book them for, all cancellations must be made at least 7 days in advance in order to get a refund.

Large or Unique Moving Charges

If you have extra large items that need special care, they will have a separate moving charge. To get the specific charge for your items, please give us a call to discuss what you have. Some examples of items that have extra charges include campers, trailers, tool sheds, boats, pool tables, tractors, motorcycles, and additional vehicles.
